After June’s experiment, it was back to the regular schedule this month, and as predicted, the extra videos didn’t even make a dent in the overall figures. This month’s stats look largely the same as last.
Half the amount of videos, but the same number of views.
This month also marked the last of the sponsored videos. I’ve been feeling burned out on Youtube for a while now and not really enjoying the process as much as I would like. So from August on, I’m moving completely away from sponsored videos…. Again. This time I mean it!
I don’t really have much desire to talk about my thoughts behind this months videos, the only one I’m really happy with is the final video, how to play Japanese Retro Games in English, but unfortunately, the main thing I promoted in that episode, romhacking.net, actually got shut down the day after! I can’t believe the bad luck there! But the video has died straight after release anyway, so I don’t think anyone will notice..
hopefully next month will be different. I have some plans, but whether I’ll have the time to pull them off remains to be seen…

I really enjoyed making both of the podcast episodes this month! I decided to use some background music in both of these episodes and I think it works really well! Not seeing any real growth from episode to episode, but i’m enjoying making them, and will continue to do so, hopefully two a month. I think that cadence is manageable without burning out or taking up too much mental energy.
