RetroBreak Recap – April 2024

Hi everyone! Im a bit late posting this month’s recap as I’ve been away on holiday. April was overall a very good month for the channel, despite not having much time to actually work on it! Despite only releasing 3 main videos, i’m happy with the results, and the variety.

Here’s the stats for April 2024. Quite good when you take into account that I didn’t upload anything in the first week!

First was a delayed video, which I made for something i’m not actually allowed to disclose yet. I had promised to get it out a few weeks earlier, but due to my schedule, I had to delay it (for a good reason! Keep reading to find out what that was!) the video eventually released on April 12th, and covered 9 cancelled Game Boy Color games. I really enjoyed researching for this one and gathering all the screenshots and information! It hasn’t done too well, but I hope it will keep getting new viewers over time!

Next was one I wasn’t too sure about, but I needed to get a bunch of sponsored content out of the way, so I came up with an idea for a new series as a way of showing off a bunch of items that have been sent into my PO Box. The result was a new series called RetroBreak’s Item Box. it went down quite well, people seemed to enjoy the random assortment of items!

The third and final video in April for the main channel was a video I’d been planning for a long time, my Top 15 PS2 games. Of course this one is doing well, same as all the other Top Games list videos. People seem to enjoy my picks in this one!

As well as the main videos, I also didn’t manage to get out as many podcasts or streams as I was hoping to either. Having the template for the podcast has made it a bit easier at least, and I managed to get out two episodes, i’m happy with the topics chosen, and it’s always so cool to hear that people enjoy listening to them!

Playing Sonic Heroes on stream was a nice change of pace too, I do really enjoy the game despite its flaws. Hopefully I’ll play some more of it this month too!

But the most important video (and moment of my life so far too…) was the video I uploaded on the 10th to my 2nd channel… Cabin Vlog.

I’d actually been planning to do it for around 5 years but circumstances never quite lined up properly, but I finally got it all planned and booked a weekend away in a log cabin.
