My Game Dev Journey
It was always my dream to be a game developer. I studied game design at college, and university, but unfortunately never made it into the industry after that. I went on to focus on other projects and a career in IT instead.
I do hope to one day return to making games though, and I have made several small games and prototypes over the years, as well as one big release, Super Donuts in 2017. Since then, I tried and failed with many different experiments in every game engine imaginable!
I’m determined to make something good in the future though, so stay tuned! Check below the podcasts here for any game Dev related blog posts, or follow me on itch.io/retrobreak to get notified whenever I upload a new game!
I went though my struggles with Game Dev in this video:
It’s not all bad news though! I revisited my Super Donuts project form 2017 and re-vamped it into a new PC game! Check out the game here, and watch the video below for a bit of a behind the scenes look into the process of reviving it:
Here’s some podcasts I made showing all the projects I worked on over the years in more detail, as well as my journey getting my game design degree.
